When Jesus returns, there will be both great joy and great sorrow. Great joy will accompany those who chose to follow Him and love Him with their lives. Great sorrow will be with those who chose to reject Him. May the children of God live focused and ready for eternity, for “…you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11 NLT).
Believers, let this not cause doubt to stir in your heart about His salvation for your life. Rather, be encouraged to remember that, as a believer, through journeying with Jesus you are building your intimacy with Him. As you do this, watch the increase that takes place in your life – the increase of your faith, of your intentionality, and of your urgency to tell others about our Savior.
Everything that you gain from your relationship with God – the joy, the comfort, the encouragement – it’s all meant to flow OUT of you in your interactions with others. It is a constant flow…He pours love into us, we receive it for ourselves, and we then share His love with others.
Keep marching, soldier! You’re not finished yet!
